On Sunday we put out a post on our social media accounts mentioning that we’ll be keeping an eye on a potential threat for this coming weekend.

In the last few days the GFS (American Model) showed some snow for our area, but the Euro (European Model) wasn’t quite on board.

That has changed…for now.

This afternoon’s model runs showed a solid amount of snow for the weekend. I know weekend snow isn’t ideal for most, but this has the potential to cause school closings and delays on Monday if things go well (for snow lovers).

We aren’t gonna throw out any amounts yet because this thing is 100+ hours away and there’s plenty of time for things to change.

If things continue to look good as the weekend approaches, we’ll get into amounts…but the potential is there!

For the those snow lovers. Just wait, there’s more….we have two more storms within the next two weeks.

We might. When storms are a week or more away, there are never any guarantees. Even forecasts for this one changed just before the storm started.
