On Thursday morning I tweeted that “there’s a slight possibility around the 30th, but nothing worth getting excited for at the moment.”

As of today we’re allowed to get a little excited, as long as you keep in mind that things can change.

In our featured image you’ll see the National Weather Service has half of MoCo in the enhanced risk section with the other half in the slight risk section.

This is a rain to snow situation and these are never easy to forecast. In this situation we have to pinpoint when the changeover will occur and that could mean an inch or two in either direction.

Right now it looks like a 1-3″ or 2-4″ type of event starting on Tuesday night and ending before sunrise Wednesday.

Please remember…this can, and likely will, change. I’ll keep an eye on it and let you know how this progresses.

I really Hope the storm track changes so all of MoCo is in 2-4in or more. Of course storms can change for the better or worse. . . I’m hopin this one is a good storm and not like Friday, January 18th when the snow didn’t stick.

A storm is a brewing. 2-3 inches by Wednesday morning. No school Wednesday and two hour delay on Thursday for frigid temperatures

If the wintry precip (snow or ice) starts on tuesday afternoon, would schools call an early release? Since it’s harder to salt the roads when the precip starts as rain.

Are you gonna talk about the possible chance of a 2 hour delay due to cold temps on Thursday?
