Disappointing model runs for snow lovers today as both the GFS and Euro show about 1-3″ for our area.
As you can see in our featured image, the National Weather Service has MoCo in the 1-2″ and 2-3″ ranges, so it’s not currently looking good for a delay or closing on Monday.
The European Model shows 6-8″ as high as the southern edges of Prince William County (VA) and Prince George’s County (MD), so we’re not quite out of this one yet, but today’s runs were not encouraging.
The storm on December 9th nudged a bit to the north in the hours before it hit (not quite reaching us), so it’s always possible the same thing happens here. At the same time, if the precip shield moves the other way…we get less.
I’ll be updating whenever there’s something worth mentioning.
